Jamie Bourke leads the firm’s Property and Commercial teams in Whangārei. Since joining Henderson Reeves in 2005, she has built a reputation as a trusted adviser who combines extensive legal expertise with a practical, down-to-earth approach.

A graduate of the University of Otago, Jamie completed her Bachelor of Laws with Honours in 2005. She advises clients across all aspects of property and commercial law, with particular expertise in rural transactions, business and commercial matters, trusts and succession planning.

Raised on a Northland dairy farm, Jamie has a genuine understanding of the opportunities and challenges faced by farming families and rural businesses. Her strong rural roots have naturally led her to develop a specialist interest in rural property transactions, where her practical knowledge and legal expertise provide significant value to clients.

Known for her bubbly, friendly manner, Jamie has a unique ability to make clients feel comfortable and supported, even when dealing with highly sensitive or complex matters. Her approach is pragmatic and solutions-focused, ensuring clients receive clear advice and practical outcomes tailored to their individual circumstances.

A proud Northlander, Jamie has deep family connections to the region. Her strong ties to the local community give her a genuine appreciation for the people and businesses that make Northland unique.

Outside of work, Jamie enjoys spending quality time with her husband and two boys, together with her friends and whānau. A keen hockey player, she enjoys making the most of Northland’s spectacular coastline through fishing, tramping, and a variety of watersports.
