With a history dating back over 30 years, Henderson Reeves Connell Rishworth is a well-recognised and trusted firm of Whangarei lawyers.
Since its establishment in the early 1970s, Henderson Reeves Connell Rishworth and its partners have actively contributed to the Whangarei community, including strong support for local business and the arts.
Stuart Henderson and Ian Reeves became partners in 1981. Under their leadership, the firm enjoyed successful growth, leading to a shift in 1992 from offices in Mansfield Terrace to larger premises on the top floor of the State Insurance building. At the same time, the firm acquired the practice of Peter Mahood.
Building on a strong reputation and excellent service, the firm once again expanded in 2002, with the acquisition of the Connell Rishworth practice, together with Peter Lynch and Max Atkins, and was renamed Henderson Reeves Connell Rishworth.
In 2008 Commercial law specialist Thomas Biss joined Stuart and Ian as a Director, followed by litigator Jeremy Browne in 2012. In 2015 Jamie Bourke became the firm’s first female Director followed by Amanda Morgan in 2018. Both Jamie and Amanda are commercial lawyers.
Looking to expand, Henderson Reeves opened an Auckland office in 2016 which initially consisted of two lawyers offering mobile services in Auckland with support staff based in Whangarei. The Auckland team currently has two lawyers and a legal execuitive and a new office in Kingsland. The firm is particularly proud of the fleet of electric cars driven by the Auckland team.
Today, Henderson Reeves continues to provide quality legal advice in both Whangarei and Auckland and remains proud of its heritage and involvement in the local communities.
